Hmmm...3

A "human being with THREE biological parents"...That just sounds SO "not right", if I may state.
Just the thought of 3 becoming 4, 5, 10, 20... This goes SO against my image of "right". In eastern philosophy as well as medicine, there is the yin and yang, female and male, that connects, mixes, and joins forces, to create a new something. THIS to me, is "right".
But then, so many things in our world today have already violated what is "right" for me though...
I am reminded of my feelings when I learned about 'Dollie'.

「3人の生物学的な親をもつ人」。。。これはぼくに言わせてもらえば、あり得ない。
この「3人」が「4人」、「5人」、「10人」、「20人」…となって行く可能性を考えただけでも、ぼくの「こうあるべき」と思う事に反しまくりです。東洋哲学・東洋医学には、「陰と陽」すなわち「女と男」があるわけで、この二つが繋がり、交わり、同調する事によってあらたな「何か」が生まれるとされます。これこそが「こうあるべき」事の様に感じるのです。
とは言いましても、現在の世の中は既にぼくにとっての多くの「こうあるべき」を見事に壊しまくってくれてもいるわけですが。。。
「ドリー」の事を知った時に僕自身が抱いた感情を思い出します。

今回は不妊治療目的でこれは世界初とされ、去年は米国の医師らがメキシコでミトコンドリア異常の遺伝病対策として既にに成功していたとも。

This time it was a part of infertility-treatment, but last year in Mexico, a group of American doctors already succeeded in doing this as a treatment for a mitochondrial defect.

Hmmm...

I read that in Ukraine, "A baby with three biological parents" was born (created?).

This baby apparently carries genetic information from three parents: an egg-donor, and the parents of a fertilized egg whose nucleus replaces that of the donor's-egg.

I wonder if I am just an "old man that cannot keep up with the pace of the world" for feeling something is so "not right"...


この度、ウクライナで「3人の親の遺伝子を受け継ぐ子」の出産（生産？）があったらしい。

健康な卵子提供者・その卵子の核に移植される核を持つ受精卵を作った両親、合わせて「3人の遺伝的な親」を持つ子になるとか。

色々な違和感を覚えたぼくはもはや時代遅れの古い人間だという事だろうか。。。
